June and the start of summer mean that there is a TON going on in the Sioux Falls Area this month. The warm weather and freedom summer brings makes June a great month for family fun. Start of June

June 1st and 2nd is the Siouxland Renaissance Festival at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds here in Sioux Falls! Take a trip back in time to 1575! 

The 25th celebration of the Washington Pavilion is happening on June 1st! Sutton Foster will be taking the stage on the evening of June 1st. 

June 6th, Tim McGraw will be playing at Denny Sanford Premier Center for his Standing Room Only Tour. 

June 7th you can enjoy some casual family fun at the June Eastbank Block Party, hosted by Downtown Sioux Falls, at 8th and Railroad Center. Enjoy live music and more! 

Harrisburg Days are June 6th-9th. These four days are filled with family fun! Check out the carnival, live music, parade, food trucks, and more! 

STOMP will be playing at the Washington Pavilion on June 11th and 12th at 7:30. 

Speaking of hometown days, Teapot Days are June 12th-15th in Tea! Don’t miss out on the Teapot Days Parade happening on June 15th at 10 am. During Teapot Days you can also check out vendors, a carnival, a car festival, and more!

Mid-June Events

The Premiere Playhouse Presents Hair! Dates from the show are from June 13th-23rd at the Orpheum Theater Center Downtown. 

Take in a game at the Birdcage! The Canaries will be playing Fargo-Moerhead on June 15th. They have games all summer long to enjoy. 

Enjoy some time out on the water and learn to paddle on June 15th at the Outdoor Campus for their Super Saturday of Paddling.

Remember that Father’s Day this year is on June 16th! 

End of Month Events

On June 20th take your kids to the Old Courthouse Museum for Kids Activity Day from 9 am- 2:30 pm. 

On June 22nd, you can learn all about how the Great Plains Zoo is working to help save the Dakota Skipper Butterfly during their Flutterfest day! 

June 29th is Super Saturday Archery day at the Outdoor Campus. No registration is required for this drop-in day of archery fun. Remember that all classes at the Outdoor Campus are free! 

Zoofari is happening at the Great Plains Zoo on the evening of June 27th. This is an adults-only event, perfect for a girls’ night out or date night! 

All Month Long

Farmers Market at Falls Park will be open every Saturday in June from 8am-1pm. Check out the fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers. You can often check out some live music and food-truck like vendors as well! 

For a mid-week market, The Lake Lorraine Farmers Market is open from 4-7 p.m. every Thursday in the month of June! 

The Levitt at the Falls will be playing shows for the whole month of June! With acts performing on Thursday, Fridays, and Saturdays each week. There is also two family shows (that play at 10 am on Saturday throughout the Summer) on the 8th and 22nd of June. 

The West Mall 7 Theaters FREE Family Movie Matinee (at 10am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) is in full swing for the full month of June! Check out the movies with your kiddos with movies like Sing 2 and Minions: The Rise of Gru. 
Enjoy some time in our amazing state parks at Good Earth State Park for their Summer Concert series. There is live music every Sunday night starting at 4 pm, along with a different food truck every sunday! Make sure to check out their kids’ programming as well, happening all summer long.
