Spring is in the air! April is always a month that seems to bring a wave of new life into everything. Not only is the ground becoming green again, but there seem to be even more things happening in the area! Take in a Show
There are plenty of amazing shows going on this month in the Sioux Falls Area!
On April 2nd Puppy Pals LIVE is coming to the Orpheum Theater. See the furry friends who were featured on America’s Got Talent live on stage! April 12th-13th you can find Doctor KABOOM at the Pavilion! It’s perfect for kids of all ages who love science. There are offerings for both 30 min and 60 min shows.
The Premiere Playhouse Presents: Oklahoma! This show will run from April 11-21st. This classic show is sure to remind you how beautiful theater can be. Mean Girls will be at the Washington Pavilion on April 15th-17th. If you are looking for a show to take your teen to-this one is it!
On the 26th, Tim Hawkins will be at the Washington Pavilion. Tim Hawkins is a family-friendly comedian who will keep you laughing all evening! Close out the month of April with a final live show, Annie, at the Washington Pavilion. It will be shown on April 30th and May 1st. This show would be perfect for an elementary-aged child to attend.
Enjoy Shopping
April 19th and 20th head down to the W.H. Lyon Expo Building for the Junkin Market Day’s Spring event. This isn’t simply shopping, but a fun experience as well! Enjoy a day shopping great deals, local creations, all while having fun!
The Spring Fling at the Bridges at 57th will be on April 27th. Check out great deals along with some family fun in the parking lot!
Sports
April 5th-7th head over to the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center to see PBR: Unleash the Beast! There is nothing quite like the PBR, so get ready to enjoy an experience like no other at the PREMIER Center!
Cheer on your Sioux Falls Stampede on April 13th for their last regular game of the season. Bonus for families-it’s kids night!
Family Events
April 25th-28th the 81st Annual El Shrine Circus is back at the Sioux Falls Arena. Make sure to pick up a coupon for a free ticket if you plan to go with your elementary aged children! Coupons can be found around town at area businesses (like ACE).
April 11th join the Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum for a four week series on Vegetable Gardening 101.
April 20th Sioux Falls Parks and Rec will be hosting an Earth Day Festival (Free) at Great Bear Recreation Area. Enjoy music, games, a family scavenger hunt, and vendors.
April 6th at Spellberger Park you will find plenty of fun vendors supporting Healthy Living Day. The City of Sioux Falls in partnership with local businesses will be supporting Physical Wellness Month.
