Ongoing Fall Festivals: 

Country Apple Orchard

Location: Harrisburg, SD

During the months of September and October, you can enjoy the Fall Festival weekends at the Country Apple Orchard! They host their fall festivals from Friday to Sunday. Their country store and U-Pick apples are also open on Wednesdays and Thursdays. There are over 20 attractions for your family to enjoy, along with special themes on many weekends! Jump on two huge jumping pillows, zip into their corn pit, or check out some animal friends. Find the admission prices on their website. 

Riverview Christmas Tree Farm

Location: Canton, SD

Riverviews Fall Pumpkin Festivals for 2024 start the weekend of September 28th and 29th. You can enjoy their free Pumpkin Festival for the first three weekends in October as well. They have a U-Pick pumpkin Patch, Vendors, Live Music, Specialty Weekends, a Haunted Corn Maze, and they also host a giant pumpkin weigh-off. Go to their website to learn more. 

Our Farm

Location: Parker, SD

Our Farm Fall Festivals are fun for the whole family. They feature a corn pit area, corn maze, pumpkin patch, zip line, hay bale mound, and more. They are open every Saturday and Sunday during the months of September and October. They also are open for part of the day on Wednesdays for ½ price! Learn more on their website! 

Mazing Acres

Location: Yankton, SD

The Mazing Acres Fall Festival weekends are well worth the drive to Yankon! They have over 30+ attractions and photo-ops for your family. Enjoy sliding down their 150 ft mega slide, walking through the corn maze, check out the farm animals, and take family photos with their different photo areas. The Rustic Iron

Location: Vesta, MN

While this is a bit more of a drive from Sioux Falls, about 2 hours, this FREE orchard is worth the trip. Not only can you pick some apples at this orchard, but you can also enjoy a ton of free kids’ activities. Enjoy a hay ride, jumping pillow, playground, ball pit, and more. They are open for fun all fall long. Each weekend has special events for your family to enjoy. Make sure to check out their website for more information.

Fall for Downtown Event in Brookings, SD

Fall in love with everything happening in Downtown Brookings! Enjoy all things fall with shopping, pumpkin painting, kids activities, petting zoo, and more. The Fall For Downtown Event is happening on September 14th. 

Fall Festival at Oakridge Nursery

Family and fun come together for this great event at Oakridge Nursery and Landscaping in Brandon, SD. This Fall Festival Event is on October 5th. 

Paws and Pumpkins

For families with a dog friend in their family, this Paws and Pumpkins Fall Festival is perfect for you. Take a doggie Photo, bounce in a bounce house, pick out a pumpkin, and more at this do-themed event for the whole family. This event is on September 21st. 

Newton Hills Fall Event 

Newton Hills State Park is hosting their 24th Annual Fall Festival this year. During the day you can enjoy the fall festival and craft show. That night enjoy a candlelight walk around the state park. This event is on October 5th. 

Centerville Fall-O-Ween

Head down to Centerville, SD to enjoy their Fall-O-Ween fun! This family-friendly event is great for everyone. Enjoy live music, kids activities, vendors, and more. This event is on October 19th. 

Akron Scarecrow Festival

Travel down to Akron, Iowa, for the 24th Annual Scarecrow Festival. You can find all things fall with vendors, a petting zoo, scarecrows, kids carnival, and more. This event is on September 21st. 

Fall Fest at The Bridges
