The versatility of pork is unmatched, you can mix and match ingredients to create your own version while staying cost effective, nutritious, and oh so delicious! Wake up to the smell of bacon and sausage with this Breakfast Sausage Pizza that the parents will love as much as the kids!

Breakfast Sausage Pizza

Serves:  8 Total time: 35 min. 

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz pork Sausage (~$2.98/16oz roll)
  • 4 slices bacon (~$3.98/12oz package)
  • 8 eggs (~$2.22/12 count carton)
  • 1 pizza crust (~$2.64/refrigerated pizza dough crust)
  • 1 C marble jack shredded cheese (~$2.76/8oz bag)
  • ½ C chopped onion (~$2.88/diced yellow onion)
  • ¼ C fresh parsley (~$0.98/bundle)
  • ½ tsp salt & pepper (~$1.76/combo)

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • Slice bacon into bite sized pieces.
  • In a large skillet cook sausage, bacon and onions over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through (10-15 minutes). Remove once cooked onto paper towel to remove excel grease.
  • Prepare pizza crust on pizza pan or baking sheet and top with ½ cup of cheese. Place in oven and cook for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  • While crust is cooking, in the same large skillet, scramble eggs and set aside. 
  • Once cheese is melted remove crust from oven and top with eggs, sausage, bacon, and onions, then top with remaining cheese, parsley and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Return pizza to oven and cook 10-15 minutes or until crust is golden and cheese is melted.
  • Slice to serve and enjoy right away!
