St. Patrick’s Day is coming up on Sunday, March 17th! Make sure to wear your green clothing and enjoy the holiday. Celebrate the day with some fun breakfast ideas, or try making corned beef and cabbage for the first time!

For those looking to get out and about, we rounded up some of the family-friendly events that are happening in Sioux Falls!
Looking for a brisk spring run? The Time to Paddy 5k/10k and Lucky 13.1 race takes place at Good Earth State Park on March 15th. This race has spots for kids to run as well!
The 46th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be in downtown Sioux Falls on Saturday, March 14th. The traditional painting of the Shamrock will happen at 11 am in front of First National Bank Downtown, with the parade starting at 2 pm.
Following the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Downtown, head over to the Steel District for some continued fun. They will have free glassware (while it lasts), a DJ, drink specials, and games and activities in the alley. The whole family is invited!
Enjoy some Irish music at the Old Courthouse Museum on March 17th! Take in the traditional Irish music, pipes, drums, and dancing. Maggie in the Meantime and the Dakota District Pipes and Drums will be there. The event runs from 5-7p, and admission is free. They will have a concessions stand available, so bring some cash!
If you have little ones who love a good craft, head over to Mosaic on March 17th for their Preschool St. Patrick’s Day Craft Stations and Storytime.
On March 17th (5-7 pm), take your toddler to a St. Patrick’s Day Scavenger Hunt at Midco Aquatic Center, hosted by the Sioux Falls Parks and Rec Department. Your little one will love searching through Midco, participating in fun activities, and searching for a pot of gold! Registration is required (along with a fee).
