Downtown Sioux Falls is a great place to make holiday memories, no matter your schedule. Stop in to do some holiday shopping during the week or bring the kids for a hot cocoa visit on the weekend! Phillips Avenue is waiting for you, decked out in holiday lights all season long.

Are you looking for some extra special events and features? Downtown has fun happening all season long.

The Annual Parade of Lights generally takes place the end of November. The parade is a family tradition for many in the region, with floats covered in lights and a special appearance from Santa! Before the parade, take in the Washington Pavilion tree lighting ceremony. Pro tip: Park in a ramp for stress-free parking, and then walk from the Pavilion to a parade viewing spot!

The MarketBeat Holiday Plaza is a slice of holiday magic in the Federal Courthouse Plaza. Families will enjoy plenty of holiday magic with giant candy canes, walk-through ornament, snowman photo op, and reindeer painted by local artists.

Falls Park Winter Wonderland runs from mid-November to January. Watch lights dance in rhythm with the music, and see the Falls decked out in its holiday best.

The Sioux Falls State Theatre will be playing holiday films throughout the season. If you haven’t visited this newly renovated space, complete with comfortable recliners with a table, be sure to catch a show!

Parking after 5:00 p.m. during the week and all day on the weekends is free and, there is plenty of space in the parking ramps. The stores and restaurants await to treat you to their holiday specials, so bring the family to downtown Sioux Falls to enjoy the magic of the season.
