Valentine’s Day is often celebrated with flowers, chocolates, and sweet gestures. But what if we used this season of love to also do something a bit bigger? February is the perfect time to remind our children, and ourselves, that love isn’t only something we say, it’s also something we show. One way we can show love is by giving back to the incredible community we’re lucky to call home.
Volunteering as a family helps kids see firsthand how their actions can make a difference. It teaches empathy, builds confidence, and creates memories rooted in kindness. The Sioux Falls Area offers many volunteer opportunities that your family can serve with.
For more inspiration about sharing the love, check out this article from a Sioux Falls Mom about raising generous kids and teaching them the joy of giving back.
