Question: How do you start exercising in the New Year and stick to it? 

1. Set small, realistic goals. For example, try to complete three 20-minute workouts per week instead of aiming to “get fit.” 

2. Look at your calendar to find time each week for fitness. A beginner-friendly, three-day-a-week plan is a great way to start. This will build your confidence, foster a habit, and prevent burnout. 

3. Choose an activity you enjoy so that exercising doesn’t feel like a chore. That could be walking, strength training, yoga, or cycling. This will keep you motivated. 

4. Listen to your body and make sure you are scheduling rest/recovery days into your routine. Also, it’s important to eat meals that fuel your workouts and get enough sleep.
