Are you interested in homeschooling but don’t know where to start? Are you a veteran homeschooler and want to encourage and be encouraged by other homeschoolers? Then check out Homeschool South Dakota (HSD), formerly known as The Education Alliance of Christian Homeschoolers in South Dakota (TEACHSD). HSD is dedicated to the cultivation, protection and promotion of Christian homeschooling and the homeschool community in the state of South Dakota.
These goals are pursued through the:
· Legislative Committee which works to advance, protect, and secure homeschooling rights through legislative and policy work.
· Conference Committee which produces the annual state conference to inspire and encourage homeschooling families.
· Board of Directors which works to coordinate and support the efforts of the committees, educate the public on the importance of parent-directed education and the freedoms required to allow it to flourish, and coordinate communication between independent local homeschool support and activity groups and homeschool families.
HSD is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation with Board, Committee, and membership representation from across the state. HSD members receive discounted HSLDA (Home School Legal Defense Association) memberships.
