Easy Halloween Bark

Ingredients:

  • Graham Crackers
  • Almond Bark
  • Chocolate Chips (Semi-Sweet works best)
  • Pretzel Sticks
  • Candy Corn
  • Halloween-themed Sprinkles (like these ones with eyeballs!
  • Mini Reese’s Pieces
  • Oreo Cookies
  • Anything else you want to add!

Note: You can use all Chocolate here if you would like for the base! Almond bark is cheaper and very easy to work with (no tempering required!). It’s not technically a chocolate at all. In the instructions below, we have you melt some chocolate chips in the melted almond bark. This gives the base a more realistic chocolate flavor, as well as a fun design when you spread it with the white almond bark!

Ingredients for Halloween Bark

Instructions:

  1. Lay the Base: Start by covering a cookie sheet with a layer of graham crackers. We like using a jelly roll sheet with sides. This will be the foundation of your Halloween bark.
  2. Melt the Almond Bark: Melt your almond bark according to the package instructions. Once melted, carefully pour it over the graham crackers, spreading it out evenly. You can use as much Almond Bark as you want. We made ours with a bit thinner of a base (we used three squares of Almond Bark). But, you can make yours a bit thicker if you want!
  3. Add Chocolate Chips: Quickly sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the warm almond bark. Let the heat of the almond bark melt the chocolate chips a bit, then use a spatula or spoon to swirl the chocolate around, creating a fun and spooky design.
  4. Top It Off: While the almond bark is still warm, it’s time to have some fun with toppings! Add pretzel sticks for a salty crunch, candy corn for a pop of color, mini Reese’s Pieces for some peanut butter goodness, Oreo cookie pieces for extra texture, and, of course, Halloween sprinkles to make it festive. Feel free to get creative and add whatever else you and your kids love!
  5. Set and Break: Once all the toppings are on, gently press them down so they stick to the bark. Place the cookie sheet in the fridge for 10-15 minutes, or until the almond bark and chocolate are completely hardened.
  6. Break It Up: Once set, break the bark into fun, bite-sized pieces. Now, you have a colorful, delicious, and spooky treat that’s perfect for Halloween!

You could also place these in a cellophane bag to pass out as Halloween treats to friends and family!
