Make Time for Fall Festivals and Corn Mazes
Halloween fun doesn’t have to happen after dark! Fall festivals, pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and seasonal activities are great ways to enjoy the season before the weather turns cold.
Consider adding these stops to your family’s fall bucket list:
- Country Apple Orchard: Head to Harrisburg for fall festival fun and seasonal activities.
- Riverview Pumpkin Festival: Visit Riverview Christmas Tree Farm near Canton for pumpkin festival activities and fall fun.
- Cherry Rock Farms: This locally owned family-farm hosts fall festivals on the weekends in the fall, and they also offer a self-serve U-Pick pumpkin patch during the week (make sure to check out the corn maze too, free!)
- Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park – Look for seasonal activities, including its Monster Mash event and nighttime corn maze adventures.
- Mazing Acres: Yankton might be a bit more of a drive, but we promise it is worth it! They host a wonderful fall festival on the weekends. Plus, it gives you a chance to also enjoy fall down by the lake!
Check event schedules before you go, since activities and hours can vary throughout the season. For more ideas beyond Halloween night, visit our Fall and Halloween Headquarters, sponsored by Avera Children’s, for more local fall guides and family activities.
