July in Sioux Falls is a full-on summer month filled with exciting events and activities that cater to all ages and interests. As the summer sun shines bright, there is a host of outdoor concerts, farmers’ markets, and family-friendly events. There is no shortage of things to do in the Sioux Falls area this July!  Whether you’re a local looking for new adventures or a visitor eager to explore, July in Sioux Falls promises plenty of fun for everyone.

What’s Happening in the Sioux Falls Area this July

Music

Levitt at the Falls

The free summer music concerts at Levitt are going on for the full month of July! Concerts are on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7 pm. Make sure to check out the kids shows offered on Saturday mornings as well (select dates). 

Good Earth State Park

Sunday afternoons at Good Earth State Park you can catch live music starting at 4 pm. They host a live show paired with a food truck on Sunday nights in the summer. The show lasts for two hours and is free with admittance to the park. 

Old Courthouse Museum

The Siouxland Heritage Museums host their Summer Plaza Concert Series each summer. Catch live music at the Old Courthouse Museum every friday at 12 pm in July for an hour of music. 

Lonestar at the Washington Pavilion 

Enjoy all of Lonestar’s greatest hits at the Washington Pavilion! Lonestart will be on the Pavilion stage on July 25th at 7:30 pm. 

Chill at the Hill

Go out to Great Bear Recreation Park for their Chill at the Hill events. Happening on Wednesday nights from 5 pm to 8 pm in July (the 10th, 17th, and 24th). Enjoy live music, food trucks, and Oh My Cupcakes. 

Kid Specific 

Bluey at the Pavillion 

Bluey’s Big Play is coming to the Washington Pavilion! Enjoy these beloved children’s characters come to life on the stage. There will be two shows, July 23rd and 24th at 6pm. Your kiddos will love this show! 

West Mall 7 Movies

The West Mall 7 is offering Free Family Matinees all summer long! Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning at 10 am there will be a show (movie changes each week). The movie is free for everyone, but they do encourage you to bring along a canned donation to the local food bank! 

Super Saturdays at the Outdoor Campus

On July 13th the Outdoor Campus will be hosting a Super Saturday for fishing. On July 27th they will be offering a Super Saturday of paddling. These days are non-registration events and free to attend (they provide all needed gear). The event runs from 10 am-12pm and then again from 1 pm to 3 pm. Make sure to check out the free fishing they offer throughout the summer at Lake Lorraine and Family Park. 

Hydrant Block Party

Hydrant Block Parties are always a hit for the whole family! Get cooled off in the spray from the firefighters, enjoy activities from Sioux Falls Parks and Rec, or check out a book from the Siouxland Libraries Book Mobile! There will be a Hydrant Block Party at Morningside Park on July 11th from 1 pm to 3 pm, at Prairie Meadows Park on July 18th from 1 pm to 3 pm, and at Granite Valley Park from 1 pm to 3 pm. Remember, these are all free to attend! 

Zippity Zoo Day

On Saturday July 13th, head over to the Great Plains Zoo for their Zippity Zoo Day Event! Enjoy inflatables, zoo scavenger hunts, special guests from Simply Ever Entertainment, and more. 

Farmers Markets

There are plenty of Farmers Markets in the Sioux Falls Area during the month of July! Many of these offer more than just fresh produce as well. Enjoy food trucks, live music, kids activities, and more at many of these Farmers Markets. 

Falls Park Farmers Market

Every Saturday in July you can enjoy a farmers market at Falls Park. They run from 8 am to 1 pm. 

At Lake Lorraine

There is a Farmers Market at Lake Lorraine every Thursday evening from 4 pm to 7 pm. The farmers market is in the parking lot near Hobby Lobby. 

At Sanford Wellness Center

New this year is a Farmers Market at the Sanford Wellness Center. They host a farmers market at the Oxbow Wellness Center location from 4 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday nights. This farmers market also features free outdoor fitness classes! 

Saturdays at the Park in Tea

Also new this year is Tea’s Saturday’s in the Park. Every 3rd Saturday of the month from July-October they will be hosting a farmers market with vendors, live music, kids activities, and more at the Tea City Park. Check out the first Saturday in the Park on July 20th. 

Brandon Farmers Market

The Brandon Farmers Market happens every Saturday morning from 9 am to 1:30 pm. This farmers market is in the Lippert Parking lot. 

Hometown Days 

Everyone loves a hometown celebration in a small town! Check out some of the hometown celebration events coming up this July in towns around Sioux Falls. 

Centerville Tornado Days, July 3rd-7th

Celebrate the 4th in Centerville! During Centervill’s Tornado Days you can enjoy food vendors, kids activities, a car show, fireworks, outdoor recreation and more! 

Brandon’s 50th Birthday Weekend Celebration, July 21st-23rd

This weekend of celebration looks like it is bound to be fun for the whole family. Brandon’s 50th Birthday celebration weekend is filled with kids activities, a community picnic, street dance, outdoor recreation, and more! 

Beresford Old Fashioned Weekend, July 25th-28th 

Head down to Beresford for their Old Fashioned Weekend. There will be vendors. A street dance, kid fun, a tractor pull, and more. 

Canton Depot Days, July 19th-20th  

Celebrate Canton is putting on their Depot Days on July 19th and 20th. Enjoy vendors, food, train displays, and a train ride for kids! 

Lennox Old Fashioned 4th of July, July 3rd and 4th

The 4th in Lennox is always a hit! Check out the parade, street dance, vendors, kids activities, fireworks, and more!

Emily’s Hope Cruise Night at Autoland

Enjoy not only an evening out, but do so for a good cause. Enjoy a cruise night with great food. 100% of the proceeds from the Cruise Night at Autoland will be donated to Emily’s Hope. 

Brookings Summer Arts Festival

At Pioneer Park in Brookings you will find the Brookings Summer Arts Festival on July 13th and 14th. Enjoy the art from over 175 artists, food vendors, live music, and a kids activity area.
