Sensory Wellness Parent Education Classes

Join Pediatric Occupational Therapists from Move U for a Sensory Wellness Parent Education Series! They are offering three 45 minute classes focused on development for babies ages 0 to 15 months. This is a highly interactive baby and me class style where you will learn helpful strategies, insight on your baby’s development and realtime tips that you can takeaway and use in your home to accelerate your child’s development. Here is a breakdown of each class:

12:00 to 12:45 pm – Fussy Baby Solutions: A Devleopmental Guide for Parents (0 to 5 monts). If you are looking for helpful parenting tips, have a fussy baby, or simply want to find a community of parents and sensory experts, this class is for you. We will learn and explore strategies to support the development of your infant including modifications to tummy time, facilitating rolling and upright propped sitting, and the use of carriers and positioning devices.

1:00 to 1:45 pm – Milestones & Magic: Developmental Journey for Babies (5 to 11 months). Parents will learn and explore strategies to support development of reach and grasp, rolling, transitioning into and out of the seated position, crawling, and pulling to stand.

2:00 to 2:45 pm – Catch Me If You Can: Developmental Support for Babies (10 to 15 months). Parents will learn and explore strategies to support development of crawling, walking, and climbing. Our skilled therapists will also provide education on how to assist a fearless child who is always on the move as well as the child who is too cautious or fearful to explore.
