What You’ll Need:

  • Red Jell-O (Strawberry or Cherry)
  • Blue Jell-O (Berry Blue)
  • Cool Whip or whipped cream
  • Clear plastic cups or small mason jars
  • Optional: festive sprinkles, blueberries or strawberries for garnish

How to Make Patriotic Jell-O Cups:

1. Prepare the Blue Layer

Start by making the blue Jell-O according to the package directions. Pour a small layer into the bottom of each clear cup and refrigerate until fully set (this usually takes about 2 hours).

2. Add the White Layer

Once the blue layer is set, spoon in a layer of Cool Whip or whipped topping. Gently smooth it out with the back of a spoon. Return the cups to the fridge to chill for about 30 minutes so the layer holds its shape.

3. Pour the Red Layer

Next, prepare the red Jell-O and let it cool slightly before pouring it over the white layer. Be careful to pour slowly so the layers don’t mix. Place the cups back in the fridge until the red layer is set (another 2 hours).
