Sioux Falls Grade Level City Championship
Join this FUN and FREE annual event hosted by Chess4Life and Sioux Falls City Parks & Rec and a HUGE thank-you to Abiding Savior Academy Middle School Campus for providing the space! We usually find enough supporters for a variety of Freebies (think food & fun) also! Parents are welcome to stay or drop off and return later for pickup (be sure to let the staff know before leaving!)

Time:
Doors open 8am, please try to arrive not later than 8:40, first round begins at 9:00am.
Format:
Participants compete with others ONLY within their own grade level. EXCEPTION: if a grade has fewer than 6 entries, it MAY be combined with another grade, although awards will still be by grade.
Location:
Abiding Savior Academy Middle School Campus at 308 W 37th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57105.
Cost:
FREE thanks to the support from Sioux Falls City Parks & Rec, Chess4Life, ChessHouse.com, and other supporters
Waiting Room:
We have plenty of waiting room area where the players go between games. Parents of new players are encouraged to stay onsite for at least the first time.

Top finisher per grade will receive special award/recognition as the 2026 Sioux Falls City Chess Champion for their grade.
Parents may leave if their child is ready for independent participation. (However, we are not able to supervise children between rounds.)
