DESCRIPTION:Join us for a community celebration and your chance to help shape the future of The Quarry at The Falls!\nOctober 1, 2026\n4–6:30 p.m.\n1110 N. Weber Ave.\nFamily-friendly activities, project information, and meal ticket provided for first 500 attendees.\nAbout the Event\nBig things are happening in Sioux Falls! Dream Big at The Quarry is your opportunity to explore, imagine, and shape what this historic space can become. Stop by, have fun, share your input, and be part of creating a new outdoor destination for our community.\nA New Future for a Historic Place\nOn July 7, 2026, the City of Sioux Falls and the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation announced that Sioux Falls will receive a $15 million grant from the Bezos Earth Fund to help transform the former quarry site next to Falls Park.\nThe quarry has a long history. Stone from the site helped build major Sioux Falls landmarks, including the Old Courthouse Museum and parts of the state penitentiary. Over time, the area fell into disrepair and stayed that way until the city began restoring land around Falls Park in the 1990s.\nCome dream big with us. Your voice can help shape the future of The Quarry at The Falls!\nHosted by the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation with the Bezos Earth Fund\n
