DESCRIPTION:Join Dorothy & Toto “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” through the Land of Oz, determined to reach the Emerald City in order to get home.\nAlong the way Dorothy befriends a few unique characters and their journey to happiness – and self-awareness – is a glowing testament to friendship, understanding and hope in a world filled with both beauty and ugliness.\nTickets are only $15 + tax and fees!\nThe Penguin Project developed with the intent of producing theatrical productions for children age 10 – 25 with All Abilities. What is unique about this specific design, is that all roles are filled by young, differently-abled thespians (Artists). Each young thespian in the cast will be paired up with a dedicated peer (Mentor) of similar age. Through a four month rehearsal period to the final performances, the Artists and Mentors work side by side to bring their characters and the show to life. The Penguin Project brings to light that the challenges of a disability should not impede a young artist’s ability to engage in all of life’s experiences.\nSponsored by The Wanda Covington Endowment\n
